A series of five free courses on economic mediation titled “Mediation – a new quality in business”, organized by the International Mediation Center and the Chamber of Commerce is about to commence.
On 27th March at 10:00am in the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce on Zielna 37 in Warsaw the first of five training sessions on mediations will take place, which is organized by the International Mediation Center established by following Chambers of Commerce: Belgian, British, French, Spanish and Italian.
The topic of the meeting in the British Chamber is: „Construction processes and real estate disputes vs. ADR. Mediation as a remedy for the growing indebtedness of the construction industry?” During the meeting alternative conflict resolution (ADR) methods in the real estate industry will be presented.
Construction companies owe PLN 2.2 billion to other enterprises according to the National Debt Register (KRD). According to KRD, companies in this industry are not able to repay debt and arrears are still growing. The real estate industry is a business in which almost every conflict is associated with huge business and financial costs. Legal processrs not only destroy existing business relationships but also introduce an element of uncertainty that often lasts for several years, the service of which generates additional (often unpredictable) costs.
Dr Ewelina Stobiecka – initiator and coordinator of the International Center for Mediation, legal adviser, Managing Partner at Taylor Wessing Law Office in Warsaw – will talk about how to prevent this and how to reduce costs of avalanche disputes in this industry.
The meeting is addressed to: members of management boards and owners of real estate companies, managers responsible for planning costs and budgets, internal lawyers of real estate companies.
The meeting will be conducted in Polish and is free of charge for companies associated in MCM founding chambers as well as for invited guests.
